Welcome to Our New General Manager!
We are delighted to share some exciting news with the community regarding a significant leadership transition at the Wellington Waterloo Community Futures office.
The Wellington Waterloo Community Futures Board of Directors is pleased to announce the appointment of Jenna DeBoer as the new General Manager of the organization. Replacing long-term manager Rick Whittaker, Jenna will be responsible for the ongoing operation of the Community Futures office.
Jenna brings a wealth of experience in economic development, having previously held the positions of Economic Development Officer for WWCF and Economic Development and Tourism Officer for Woolwich Township.
Jenna stated, "I am thrilled to return to WWCF and once again contribute to the incredible work this organization does. I look forward to working with our talented team to drive innovation, support entrepreneurship, and strengthen our local economy. Together, we will continue to build a vibrant and resilient community.”
Chris White, WWCF Chair, commented, "On behalf of the board and the many, many clients served over the years, I want to thank Rick for his dedication and service to the community. He has been absolutely instrumental to the success of the organization, and we have been very fortunate to have him. He has made a significant impact on the economic development of our rural communities, and we will be forever grateful.
We are very pleased to welcome Jenna back to the WWCF team! I know that she looks forward to collaborating with our members, staff, and the broader community to enhance the sustainability of our region."
Rick remarked, "It has been a privilege to be able to assist businesses and the community for the past twenty-two years. I extend my deep gratitude to staff, board, and the greater Community Future network for the privilege to serve alongside all of you. Our organization is in a good spot for a change, and I look forward to working with Jenna and continuing to help businesses as the Lending Officer."
